SURVIVAL MODE EXPLAINED

Dragons inside a shrinking glowing circle, the sky outside dark and stormy

Classic is about growing. Survival is about lasting. Twenty-four dragons, one closing circle, no second chances. Here is how a round really unfolds and how to plan each part of it.

Why a shrinking zone?

In an endless arena, careful players can always fly away from trouble. Survival removes that option on purpose. The safe zone shrinks in six phases until it closes completely, so every round has a beginning, a middle and an end – and a single winner. Everyone else is ranked by how long they survived, which means even a dragon that never wins a fight can place well by staying alive.

The zone, phase by phase

Each phase has two parts: the zone holds still for a while, then shrinks smoothly to its next size. The holds get shorter and the damage outside gets stronger as the round goes on.

320 s30 s36 %The middle game
415 s25 s22 %Crowded and dangerous
510 s20 s12 %Every move counts

Outside the zone you lose a fixed amount of Might every second plus a share of your current Might – so a giant cannot simply sit outside and wait. At the minimum size, a dragon caught outside lasts only a moment.

Why no Rebirth?

In Classic, your first defeat in a life gives you a second chance. In Survival it does not. A Rebirth would bring dragons back into a round that is supposed to get tighter and tighter, and it would make the ranking meaningless. One life keeps every decision honest.

A plan for each stage

Early (phases 1–2): grow safely

Orbs are plentiful and the zone is wide. Eat, avoid big fights and stay closer to the center than the edge. An early defeat throws away the whole round, so no risky headshot attempts yet.

Middle (phases 3–4): position before size

Start moving toward the next safe area before each shrink begins. Dragons that wait get squeezed between the border and everyone else. Keep Spirit in reserve – fights now happen whether you want them or not.

Late (phases 5–6): read everyone

The zone is tiny and crowded. Long bodies become walls and traps. Watch every aim line, keep your head away from bodies, and use quick slices to push rivals toward the border. If you have 800 Might and full Spirit, an Ascension in the last phase can clear space at the perfect moment.

After you are out

You can stay and watch the rest of the round – a great way to learn how the last dragons survive. And every round counts toward the day's ranking of best survival times, so the next one is always a chance to climb.
