CONTROLS
Dragons League uses only four actions: steer, boost, Breath and Ascend. They work the same on a computer and on a phone, so you can switch devices without relearning anything.

Desktop controls
| Action | Mouse | Keyboard |
|---|---|---|
| Steer | Move the mouse – your dragon flies toward the pointer | – |
| Boost | Hold the right mouse button | Hold Space |
| Elemental Breath | Hold the left mouse button to charge, release to fire | Hold E, release to fire |
| Ascend | – | Q (at 800 Might with full Spirit) |
Your dragon turns toward the pointer at a limited rate, so a pointer far away from the head gives a smooth, wide turn and a pointer right next to it gives the tightest turn possible. Keeping the pointer a little ahead of your head is the most precise way to fly.
Mobile and tablet controls
| Action | Touch |
|---|---|
| Steer | Push the on-screen joystick in the direction you want to fly |
| Boost | Hold the FLY! button |
| Elemental Breath | Hold the Breath button to charge, release to fire – or tap the arena for a quick shot |
| Ascend | Tap the Ascend button when it lights up |
The joystick has its own touch, so you can steer with one thumb while the other holds FLY! or Breath. Landscape orientation is recommended: you see more of the arena, and both thumbs have room. The camera on phones is zoomed out a little more than on a computer so that you can still see dragons coming.
How each action really works
Boost
Boosting makes your dragon fly about 85 % faster but turn a little wider, and it burns Might every second you hold it. The Might you burn drops behind you as small orbs. You cannot boost when you are close to the minimum size, so a tiny dragon cannot boost itself away.
Elemental Breath
Charging takes up to 1.2 seconds. While you charge, you fly at half speed and turn a little slower, and every player near you sees your dashed aim line. A quick tap fires a short, narrow Breath; a full charge is longer, wider and slices deeper. After each shot there is a 1.8 second cooldown. The full rules are in the Elemental Breath guide.
Ascend
Ascension is the rare golden power-up. It needs 800 Might and a full Spirit bar. It lasts up to ten seconds and is followed by twenty seconds of Exhaustion, so the timing matters. See Might, Spirit and Ascension.
Tips for smoother flying
- Use a mouse rather than a laptop touchpad if you can: small, precise movements matter in close fights.
- Play full screen on desktop for the widest view of the arena.
- Close heavy tabs on older phones: the game runs at a steady pace, and a busy browser is the most common cause of stutter.
- Sound helps: charging, slices and headshots all have distinct sounds that warn you of danger off screen.
