ASCENSION
Shadow is no longer the little dragon from the storm cliff. It is long, fast and full of Spirit. It is time to try the one power every dragon dreams about.

Shadow felt it before it understood it. Its body had grown long – eight hundred Might long – and its Spirit was full to the brim. Something warm and golden was rising from under its scales, waiting for a single command.

Shadow let it out. Light exploded from every scale. For a moment the whole arena turned gold, and when the glow settled, Shadow's scales shone with golden edges and its eyes blazed white. It felt faster than ever. Its Breath felt wider, deeper, sharper. This was Ascension.

The transformation itself rang through the sky like a bell. A ring of golden force burst outward and pushed every nearby dragon away, scattering them like leaves. For the first time, Shadow had space – and the arena knew exactly who had made it.

Across the sky, the crowned giant turned. Shadow remembered episode two – how giants shrug off small attackers, how their armor turns a first headshot into a mere crack. But an Ascended Breath ignores armor. Shadow charged, aimed at the head, and released. The Crown of light flew from the giant's horns.

Ten seconds. That is all Ascension lasts. The gold drained from Shadow's scales and left it grey and heavy. It was Exhausted – slower, its Spirit unable to return – and the smaller dragons it had scattered were coming back, smiling. Every power in the League has a price.

Shadow did not fight. It did what it had learned in its very first flight: it read the lines, twisted away, kept its head far from every body, and waited for its strength to return. When night fell, it rested on a floating rock under the stars – and above its head, for the first time, floated a crown of golden light.
The story continues soon. Start from the beginning with Episode 1, "The First Flight".
Behind the episode
Ascension works exactly like this in the game: at 800 Might with a full Spirit bar you can Ascend for up to 10 seconds – faster, with a wider Breath that slices deeper and headshots that ignore armor – and the transformation pushes nearby dragons away. Afterwards you are Exhausted for 20 seconds. Learn when to use it in Might, Spirit and Ascension.
